From the company that is single-handedly dominating the mobile device world, the iPad promises a compromise between the portability of an iPod Touch and the power and usability of a Macbook. Internet opinions are initially on the negative side, with complaints about things not included...
For us though, we can't stop thinking about how great it will be to play Defend Your Castle on the device. Truly sweet.

StevenGeier21112, of the XGenStudios forums, has already got an early start -- giving us the idea that we should make it into an official contest! Choose anything related to XGen - or our games - and carve your way to a Free 2-Year Stick Arena Ballistick Lab Pass!
Submissions are to be posted in the official pumpkin carving forum thread, and deadline for submissions is midnight (PST) on October 30th. XGenStudios Staff and Stick Arena Moderators are not eligible to win the contest, sorry guys. :)

Things are getting spooky, and the time of The Devlian has come again! Our poor Helvian's evil twin has overthrown his good-natured double and is free to cry havoc and unleash hell upon all XGen!
Well, other then his particular fondness for orange over our traditional blue... I'm sure everything will work out OK for XGen. If you're seeing a multi-colored abomination, try clearing your browser cache.
In other news, the XGen team is fresh from attending the Edmonton Flash In the Can conference on the weekend. Not only was it a rewarding and educational experience, and a great chance to meet some industry vets, we were also the first team to correctly decipher the clues left by Adobe Platform Evangelist Lee Brimelow (Of theflashblog.com) to find this year's Adobe Dead Drop! Earning us a commemorative coin and a copy of Adobe Creative Suite CS4!

It's here - 6 Player Stick Arena, plus new Classic Maps.
Using your feedback, we've updated and improved just about every one of Stick Arena's original maps (Don't worry - we kept XGen HQ just the way you like it).
Since there are a few different ways to get a 6-player game going, I'll explain exactly how it works. To start, you'll need at least one player with a Lab Pass. If only one player is playing with a Lab Pass, that player will need to VIP at least 2 other players and then create a game, making sure that the VIP'd players joins last. Another way to get a 6 player match going is to have 2 Lab Pass player join a game in progress that already has 4 players - how about a 3v3 match? (or 2v4, if you're feeling lucky!)
Here's another way to look at it; there are 2 'reserved' spots in every game for players with Lab Passes. Players with a Lab Pass as well as those that have been VIP'd by the game creator can join games with 4 players already in them (up to the new maximum of 6 players per game).
What does all this mean? Well, you'll probably want to get yourself a Lab Pass, but you should also keep in mind that Player Join Order is important when some players don't have Lab Passes, or when not everyone has been VIP'd.
Now go play a 6 player free-for-all, or organize yourself a 3v3 (or 2v2v2?) Team Deathmatch.

Stick Arena Ballistick has received another big update. Included this time is a brand new pet based on Defend Your Castle and a bunch of brand new tiles for map-makers, including water! Get the details here. More updates on the way!

Haven't taken the plunge into Stick...
Haven't taken the plunge into Stick Arena Ballistick's Lab Pass Features yet? Or maybe just looking for some extra days? We've just finished setting up a rewards system for those short on dough, it allows you to earn Lab Pass days without the need for any cash whatsoever!
We've also uploaded a neat little Defend Your Castle How-to-Play video on the DYC page, just in case you're not familiar with the mechanics of the classic game. Special thanks to Eric Cheng and Leif Oleson-Cormack for the excellent audio and voice-over work.
Also, have some destructive fun in Building Blaster, burn it to a crisp in Pyro 2 or just kill some mindless undead in More Zombies. XGen always features the best and the brightest of internet flash developers.

Some new featured games for you guys; strategic deployment of base defenses - so fun, so Warzone Tower Defense. And cut some stuff up to solve Splitter 2 if your puzzling sense is tingling.
Joystick Division talk about some multiplayer weapons that make you want to tear your hair out. Zomg - l2play nubs!
Comic-con is wrapping up, and it's always entertaining to see the laughably bad costumes people come up with. Oh and there's also... you know... The Best.
Video Game Dialogue has a rough history, but some of these will make you feel nostalgic in all of the funny places.
